Anthony Uribe is proud to represent the Rancho Cordova Community Food Hub at the 2026 L5 Investment Capital Cup.

Before joining Wilton Rancheria, Anthony served as Senior Field Representative for Congressman Ami Bera, connecting local governments, nonprofits, businesses, tribal governments, and community organizations with federal resources while advancing important regional initiatives.

Today, as Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Wilton Rancheria—California’s Capital Tribe—Anthony is helping lead one of the region’s most innovative organizations, investing in community wellness, education, economic opportunity, and partnerships that strengthen the Sacramento region for generations to come.

In 2026, Anthony was named the Sacramento Metro Chamber’s Young Professional of the Year. Congressman Bera recognized his leadership and service on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, with the remarks entered into the official Congressional Record. Anthony was also featured among Comstock’s Magazine’s 2026 Young Professionals.

Throughout his career, Anthony has brought people and organizations together to create meaningful opportunities for the communities he serves. That commitment closely aligns with the Community Food Hub’s belief that every neighbor deserves access to nutritious food, dignity, choice, and the opportunity to thrive.

Anthony’s Personal Connection

Food has always meant more to me than simply what is on the dinner table. As a first-generation Mexican American, some of my favorite memories are rooted in family recipes, shared meals, and meaningful dishes made with simple, affordable ingredients passed down through generations. Food is how we preserve culture, celebrate family, and show love for one another.

During the pandemic, my mom picked up groceries from a local food pantry for my grandma and other members of our family. Even while helping more than one household, she would wonder whether someone else needed the food more, saying, “There can’t possibly be enough for everyone.” If our family had enough, the groceries would find their way to another family who could use them. Sometimes, receiving a bag from someone you know feels a little easier than standing in line yourself.

That experience showed me that food insecurity is not a distant issue. It can touch any family during different seasons of life. It also taught me that generosity has a way of multiplying—and that dignity can be preserved through the simple ways we care for one another.

That is what inspires me about the Rancho Cordova Community Food Hub. By creating a welcoming, grocery-style market where families can choose the foods that best meet their needs, the Community Food Hub provides more than groceries. It honors culture, preserves dignity, and reminds people that accepting help never diminishes their worth.

This is not simply charity—it is comunidad. Food tells the story of where we come from while reminding us of our shared responsibility to care for one another.

Funds raised through the L5 Investment Capital Cup will help the Community Food Hub provide grocery-style food access, nutrition education, volunteer engagement, and connections to essential services for more than 1,500 local families each week.
