Join Me in Supporting the Carson Campbell Foundation

The Campbell family and mine have been neighbors and close family friends for many years. I had the privilege of watching Carson grow up next door, and later, of having him become part of the Socotra Capital team.

Carson worked with our team before continuing his education, and in a short time he left a lasting impression on everyone around him. He approached life with energy, humility, curiosity, and an unwavering desire to improve. Whether he was serving teammates, helping others succeed, or simply bringing positivity into the room, Carson had a unique way of making people around him better.

One of the things I remember most about Carson was his coachability. During a sales training session, he continually asked for more feedback, more ideas, and more ways to improve. He wasn't interested in hearing what he was already doing well. He wanted to know how he could grow. That mindset defined who he was.

Carson's impact extended far beyond the workplace. He inspired friends, family members, coworkers, and everyone fortunate enough to know him through his kindness, generosity, and genuine enthusiasm for life.

Today, the Carson Campbell Foundation continues that legacy by supporting causes and opportunities that reflect the values Carson lived every day: service, growth, community, and helping others reach their potential.

Please consider making a donation to support the Foundation and honor Carson's memory. Every contribution helps extend the impact of a remarkable young man whose influence continues to be felt throughout our community.

The Capital Cup

The Capital Cup adapts the historic Ryder Cup format—steeped in tradition—to promote community pride, healthy competition, and raise money for the Sacramento region’s most deserving charities. Each year, leaders from the Sacramento region are divided into two teams for an exciting 3-day golf competition. Donors have the opportunity to support their favorite player (or their favorite charity), as each player is competing to benefit his or her favorite charitable organization. The winning team's designated charities share a prize fund of $100,000! The tournament started with the ambitious goal of raising $250,000 in its first year. When it well surpassed that goal, the tournament committee raised the bar, and has continued to do so every year since—and every year, the participating golfers exceed expectations. The Capital Cup has raised more than $20 million over its history.
